Senior Administrative Assistant -Surety

Provides direct clerical assistance to facilitate work-flow and maintains financial Surety Bond files in order to expedite prompt action on all bond requests.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Direct underwriting of small commercial and subdivision/plat bonds.

• Processes and distributes incoming mail to underwriters and branch manager; coordinates outgoing mail
• Receives, responds and re-directs incoming calls from producers, principals, lenders and home office personnel
• Enters bonds, riders, abstracts, producer and other data into the computer
• Types background data reference and general business letters, memos, correspondence and miscellaneous forms
• Processes instant issue commercial surety bonds, batches all bonds and reviews date output and resolves exceptions

• 2+ years of demonstrated office experience
• Surety bond experience and notary commission are desirable
• Proven research and analytical skills to identify, gather and organize information to provide recommendations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and One Note)
• Ability to learn new software applications
• High School diploma, or GED required
