Assistant Underwriter

Questpro is currently partnered with a National Wholesale Brokerage / MGA that is looking for a Commercial Underwriting Assistant to join their Houston team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Commercial Lines. Excess & Surplus Lines or a Wholesale background is a huge plus! This is a full-time position that offers growth as well as a competitive benefit package.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews new and renewal business submissions for presentation to underwriters.
• Discusses quotes with producers.
• Prepares quotations and binders.
• Prepares coverage issuance forms for policy processing.

EXPERIENCE

• Must have a thorough knowledge of P&C Commercial Insurance and coverages 
• P&C license required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
