JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for representing Safety National in a professional manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company and the Business Development Department.  To serve as liaison between brokers and underwriters, advocating the position of each, in order to identify production sources and achieve renewal goals within the designated territory.

Regular and appropriate visits to Safety National production sources to achieve new business and retention goals through the following functions:

  • Service renewal book within a level 1-profile territory. 
  • Source and pursue cross sell opportunities within a level 1-profile territory.
  • Source and pursue new business within a level 1-profile territory.

Collaborate with underwriting partners and other key stakeholders within the company throughout the quoting process to maximize results on new and retention business.

Participate in relevant regional industry conferences that serve to raise the Company's profile.

Maintain and utilize SalesForce.com database: develop new business pipeline, track renewals, marketplace intelligence, and create touchpoints that validate territory activity.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of MAP Client Services and possess the ability to present and explain in detail the features and benefits to the client.

Work within the established territory expense budget and submit expenses on a monthly basis

A minimum of 50% travel required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in entertainment functions and activities where appropriate.

Timely completion of all departmental initiatives & requests

Participate the service team structure

Support the approval process for new Third Party Administrators.

Coordinate and direct targeted travel with members of the service team within the appointed territory.

Collection of and dissemination of pertinent territorial market information throughout the Company

Ensure a high level of visibility for Safety National within the appointed territory by meeting established activity metrics.

Maintain schedule in Outlook Calendar

Maintain regular and consistent contact with direct Supervisor, Business Development department personnel and all other leadership within the Business Development Department.

Adhere to Company travel guidelines when planning business related trips.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Understanding and acceptance of Safety National’s Core Values

Able to work independently with limited supervision.

A minimum of 3 years’ of commercial insurance or other related industry experience

College Degree Required

Experience or aptitude for insurance sales

Strong organizational skills

Self-motivated work ethic

Strong communication skills

Ability and willingness to travel on a frequent basis

Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience with sales database software
