Assists in directing the organizations accounting functions and supervising the operation of the accounting department, including cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Customarily and regularly directs the work of staff accountants and other employees in the Finance department
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities as directed in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees
• Responsible for planning, assigning and directing work
• Responsible for appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees
• Responsible for addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Establishes and maintains the organizations accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Prepares and evaluates budgets and other financial operating reports, and presents findings and recommendations to senior management
• Directs, coordinates and analyzes data related to company audits
• Directs accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly close activities
• Monitors daily disbursements including positive pay administration and reports balance of all bank accounts on a weekly basis to Treasury
• Maximizes interest income in all cash accounts
• Reviews and approves all assigned bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Month-end close processes including, but not limited to preparing, reviewing and posting of journal entries, account reconciliation, intercompany balancing and closing and elimination entries

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required
• 5+ years experience in public accounting or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software programs
• Proficiency with Oracle EBS and Microsoft Dynamics GP highly preferred
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures, financial reporting and cash management
