We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manager to oversee our Appraisal Practice Group within our Speciality Loss Group. The Appraisal Practice Group (APG) Manager will manage our daily assignments, over-see the work product, serve as the direct liaison with client base, manage internal and external KPIs while developing new business nationally. The candidate ensures that activities are carried out in a competent, thorough and compliant manner and maintains a current knowledge of relevant industry and organizational concepts, practices, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process strong management skills able to interact with Executive leaders, Regional Managers (RM), Regional Property Managers (RPM), Specialty Loss Group, and Sales/Marketing ensuring the viability of the practice group and services therein nationally.
  • Ensure all appraisal and umpire files are handled in accordance with industry Standards and Best Practices, and possess a strong working knowledge of appraisal procedures nationally.
  • Process strong working relationship with RMs and RPMs ensuring APG adjusters are equally supported on assignments within caseload, billable hours, reporting compliance.
  • Able to take assignments, work a case load under APG practice standards.
  • Ensure all internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are accurate, monitored, and distributed.
  • Responsible for new APG clients; service instructions, and all billing related items.
  • Responsible for reviewing all new APG assignments and assigning out.
  • Able to review final award reports, final billing accuracy.
  • Monitor and address all revenue, WIP and billed, through fiscal year against budget.

Business Development/Marketing

  • Identify and pursue new insurance carrier opportunities and diversification strategies.
  • Able to work with sales staff to develop new business opportunities.
  • Participate and attend insurance industry events representing APG.
  • Participate in meetings as required representing APG, travel required.
  • Serve as APG subject matter expect (SME), internally and externally.
  • Approve new business opportunities, lead on-boarding processes.
  • Liaison with marketing for lead generation, advisement strategies, social media campaigning, direct communications.

Operational Quality Control & Practice Group Development

  • Further develop and train adjusters involved in practice group.
  • Primary client contact on services issues, adverse awards, and/or accolades.
  • Serve as technical resource for File Escalation process.
  • Involved in evaluation and recommendations of future adjuster selections for APG.
  • Evaluate Error & Omission challenges and prepare risk management processes.
  • Work with Claim Support Group (CSG) on audit process and communication protocols for APG.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess valid property loss adjusting credentials, including an active and valid adjusters license in state of residence.
  • Candidate should possess a minimum of 8 10 years' loss adjusting experience, including supervisory and/or management level experience.
  • Candidate should be experienced with appraisal and umpire files/processes, and be in good standing within the Appraisal Practice Group.
  • Position can be based in Georgia, Florida or Texas but we will consider other locations.
