Job Description

Allstates STEM and Innovation Recruiting team develops, directs, plans and evaluates the companys external recruitment and internal mobility programs that support Allstates fast-growing technology and innovation-led lines of business. The team provides impactful collaborating services to the business on meeting talent goals, including researching, sourcing, marketing, recruiting, screening and engaging candidates. The team collaborates with HR Business Partners and key business leaders to build and implement creative talent management programs that ultimately drive transformation and disruption.

Key Responsibilities

The recruiting manager will develop a team of recruiters supporting Allstates emerging and innovation lines of business across three primary talent centers in Northbrook, IL, Irving, TX, and Charlotte, NC. Demonstrating functional knowledge of recruiting, team development experience and exceptional client-facing and collaborating skills, the leader will maintain positive internal client relationships to ensure a robust pipeline of talent for the business. Core responsibilities for this highly visible role include:

  • Implementation of an enterprise-wide and line-of-business recruiting strategies.
  • Influence and collaborate with hiring managers, leaders and HR business partners in making decisions on talent. Provide creative solutions, advise, and negotiate with leaders and across HR Centers of Excellence, with business needs in mind.
  • Provide leadership and develop talent within the recruiting team, as well as understand and align with Allstates business strategy and goals, competency needs and gaps, and corporate vision.
  • Utilize recruiting tools and services to support recruiting effectiveness, including talent advising, measurement, mentoring, transition and onboarding support.
  • Implement process improvements and tools that support strategic and business direction with a long-term impact on achieving business goals.
  • Measure, assess and communicate results of processes and strategies. Analyze, interpret and provide key and complex communications, both internally and externally.
  • You will build external networks and affiliations to support Allstates employment brand and to support passive and active recruiting strategy.
  • Understand and influence the development of Allstate Diversity Strategy, and partner with the Inclusive Diversity team to utilize diversity resources. Develop sources for diversity candidates on active and passive recruiting needs.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of business experience leading recruiting teams focused on full life cycle recruiting and/or search firm recruiting leadership experience
  • Excellent management and people development skills, with the ability to inspire and engage team members and influence outcomes with leaders.
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of sourcing strategies and tools, including: Internet sourcing and research, can-do phone research and professional networking.
  • Broad working knowledge of programs, policies and procedures in human capital management or a recruiting field gained through extensive experience and training.
  • Knowledge of recruiting tools and technology, including the use of an Applicant Tracking System.
  • Knowledge of the information technology and data analytics industry.
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends within the HR industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of business software, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop & deliver effective presentations and demonstrate consultative facilitation and presentation skills with senior leaders.
  • Advanced project management skills to implement and deliver programs and initiatives.
  • Strong collaborating skills to provide expertise in recruiting strategic HR implementation and metrics.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Certifications in human resources, recruitment or marketing. (PHR or SPHR highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau.
