We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a Director of Marketing. The Director of Marketing actively supports the companys strategic growth and development through effective business community relationships, branding, advertising, sales, and communication efforts. Under the guidance and oversight of the Senior Vice President, the incumbent brings analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills to the role, providing input into the business development plan and its execution, and collaborating with all members of the sales and marketing team. The incumbent effectively facilitates Engle Martin & Associates achieving its client growth and retention goals, increasing market share, and maintaining its prominent and favorable industry reputation.

  • Obtain market research such as current trends, needs, and desires of current and potential customers. Create a target audience and build campaigns and promotions aimed at this group of customers. Analyze business reports and survey marketplace.
  • Effectively manage relationships with key external business development partners to ensure fair pricing, excellent service, and quality production. Establishes and maintains effective interactions with public relations consultants, graphics and web designers, IT professionals, media buyers, printing companies, and others selected to support and promote EMAs marketing strategy.
  • Identifies and coordinates branding initiatives that advance business development and marketing goals; generates ideas and brings technical expertise to assessments and decisions; analyzes external needs and resources, develops and monitors branding project plans and time lines, and monitors spending to assure the responsible allocation of budgeted financial resources. Assesses success of initiatives and recommends refinements as necessary.
  • In consultation with the Senior Vice President Business Development, develops and oversees implementation of the organizations public relations plan. Identifies opportunities for positive exposure and image enhancement, and recommends and coordinates the strategic frequency, breadth, and depth of effective initiatives. Creates, or oversees the creation of, supporting materials, identifies and optimizes opportunities for favorable publicity; manages associated costs judiciously.
  • Serves as the director for the companys branding, promotions, publicity, and public relations processes and tools, including, but not necessarily limited to, television, radio, and print content, website management, social media utilization, tradeshow and association resources, direct mail campaigns, e-mail campaigns, and relevant collateral materials.
  • In collaboration with, and under the general guidance of the Senior Vice President Business Development, plans and executes advertising opportunities through such venues as business and trade journal articles, speaking engagements, and sponsorships.
  • Communicates regularly with the Business Development team on all data requirements, creating custom reports as necessary, managing the distribution of standard reports, and maintaining a positive working relationship with the vendor representative. Delegates related tasks to more junior Business Development team members and assures the effective execution of these tasks.
  • Establishes and maintains positive, productive working relationships with other EMA departments, including IT, Client Services, EMCAS, Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, the executive team, regional managers, production and operations staff, and with customers, external partners, and all constituents.
  • Promotes effective communication related to business development strategies, tactics, and outcomes, corporate updates, EMTRANET content, and conventional and electronic mailings.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree required, with specialization in Marketing preferred. Masters Degree a plus.
  • 7-10 years experience with a proven track record of success; including managing a team with a collaborative hands-on approach
  • Highly skilled communicator with proven leadership abilities
  • Creative and financial acumen with a strong desire to grow revenue and exceed growth targets.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing principles, branding (increasing brand awareness), social media, campaigns, data mining, product roll-out, data analytics and business development
  • Ability to increase revenue through both traditional and modern innovative marketing channels
  • Understanding of industry trade show events and other brand awareness functions
  • Comprehend and interpret market dynamics and develop actionable strategies around those in collaboration with the sales team
  • Proficient in MS Office and other marketing software such as desktop publishing programs and CRM systems. (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus)
  • Skilled at mining data from CRM for prioritization of marketing and business development efforts
  • Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the national commercial loss adjusting and claims management industry
  • Skills in analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing, prioritizing, and reporting pertinent information; creativity; research skills; excellent written and oral communication skills; trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability
