Claims Homeowner Representative III

 

The Automobile Club of Missouri is seeking a career-minded individual for our Homeowner Claims Representative III.

 

  • This field position handles Homeowner claims involving property lines of insurance written in compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements. The position will handle claims primarily in central Missouri.

     

  • The primary functions include:

     

  •  Inspection, investigation, evaluation and negotiation of Homeowner claims in the field.

     

  • Employing discretion and independent judgment to ensure compliance with state and federal law and with established company, technical and customer service Best Practices.

     

  • Requires field investigations to determine property damages.

     

  • Evaluate and determine claim values upon receipt and assessment of property.

     

  • Verify and interpret/resolve coverage by gathering necessary information to ensure policy applicability. Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.

     

  •  Requires physical ability to inspect claims in the field with the ability to climb roofs and work outside in all types of weather conditions.

     

  • Requires moderate computer and line of business technical software skills. Organization and planning recognition skills.

     

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

     

  • Physical requirements may include lifting (50 lbs or more).

     

  • Excellent computer and line of business technical software skills required.

     

  • Travel may be required.

     

  • Must be high energy, highly motivated, self-starter individual requiring minimal supervision.


Qualifications

Successful candidates have the following qualifications:

    • Four year college degree preferred.

    • Excellent computer and line of business technical software skills required.

    • Advanced organization and planning recognition skills required.

    • Advanced interpersonal skills required.

    • Valid driver's license with a level of financial responsibility required by the Club in an acceptable motor vehicle driving record required.

    • Strong organizational skills.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.

    • Ability to climb roofs and work outside in all types of weather conditions.
