This position works with the Programmed Operations workflows to ensure efficiencies gained by completeness of quotes. This role works closely with Account Managers, Agents, and Quoting Representatives to ensure the timely download and systematic analysis and adjustment of personal lines policy information. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with and manipulating large sets of data. Knowledge of Agency Management systems and XML is a plus.

Responsibilities:

    • Uses systems tools to write and apply rules to uploaded data that will make it suitable for Safeco systems. These rules fit into the following categories: identifying missing or errant data, translating data to Safeco format, changing limits and deductibles to valid Safeco limits and deductibles.
    • Contributes rules to a rule repository so that they can be shared with others and re-used as appropriate.
    • Coordinates with Account Specialists, Territory Managers, and agents to schedule upload times for large amounts of data. Effectively communicate the upload process and impacts to agents. Obtains and stores any necessary authorization. Escalate any systems problems to the appropriate Safeco systems contact. Directly impacts the agent experience.
    • Analyzes data uploaded by agents to determine what, if any, changes need to be applied to the data to make it suitable for processing in Safecos personal lines systems. Communicates as needed with Account Specialists and agents to obtain any additional information needed for business cases, quotes, and other transactions.
    • Runs and monitors batch quoting and issuing processes. Quickly identifies and fixes any errors that occur. Effectively escalates errors that cannot be fixed to management and the appropriate systems contacts.
    • Provides timely and professional customer service to agents to facilitate the processing of business, etc. May contribute to effective marketing of company products by answering agent questions, resolve agent problems on topics such as policy status, policy updates and corrections, billing, etc., and explaining new or revised processes.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving and research skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow.
  • Basic knowledge of systems concepts.
  • Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills
