Regional APD Manager

The Regional APD Manager will provide oversight and direction over the entire physical damage inspection and evaluation process for the organization. They will create processes to ensure efficiency, excellent estimatics, reinspection, selection of Preferred Shop programs and physical damage training.  They will ensure accurate and fair evaluation of total loss property and appropriate salvage disposal. They will mentor, train and motivate a staff of auto appraisers, total loss and salvage adjusters, open shop participants, re-inspectors and supervisors. They will be the primary contact with our estimating and salvage partners and lead the company strategy for future growth.

Process responsibilities:

• Manage the Auto Appraisal process for designated states with expertise in TX, FL and CA

   

  Manage the Total loss and Salvage process for designated states with expertise in TX, FL and CA

   

  Create and monitor Auto Appraiser Scorecard

   

  Create and administer training program for new appraisers and new adjusters

   

  Create and manage Re-inspection program ensuring appraisers and shops are writing within company guidelines

   

  Support and maintain direct repair network

   

  Work with CCC estimating and open shop systems

   

  Work with Co-Parts Salvage vendor

   

  Complete and review analytics with respect to estimate amounts, salvage returns, cycle time,  total losses, salvage proceeds.

   

  Lead the Company Catastrophe Program

   

  Must be able to travel up to 20% of time

   

Education & Experience:

• At least 10  years auto appraisal experience/ total loss experience

   

  5 years management experience

   

  Broad Industry experience is preferred

   

  Must be computer literate

   

  Excellent communication skills

   

  Negotiation Skills

   

  Problem solving & decision making skills

   

  Planning & Organizational skills

   

  Customer Service skills

   

  Strong analytical skills

   

  Ability to work with  CCC Estimating Software and management reports

   

  Candidate must be able to obtain a Texas, Florida  P & C Adjuster License

   

  College degree is a plus

   

  i-car certification is a plus

   

  Certified mechanic status is a plus
