Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Claims Assistant for P&C assists Claims Adjusters by providing clerical support, data entry, reporting, record keeping, liaison, ordering & involvement in client programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data Entry

    • renumbering
    • voiding
  • correcting data entry
  • documentation of files
  • litigation log
    • template letters, acknowledgements, financial
  • Functions performed
    • ISO reporting
    • police reports requested
    • team player/work over flow
    • interact with different company departments
    • vendor requests
  • Reporting/Record keeping
    • HCRA
    • Arbitration Forums
    • Payment Intercept Program
    • Abandon Property
    • evidence Library
    • checks
    • access keys
  • Liaison
    • building
    • office Facilitator

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks according to strict timelines
  • Must be able to work alongside claims adjuster as a partner as clerical support

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Computer experience Typing at least 45 - 60 wpm, moderate understanding of Word and e-mail programs
  • Moderate customer services skills for phone, email and letter production

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • BS / BA or Equivalent Work Experience

  • 1 Year
