The Senior Account Manager is one of the primary business contacts for Clients and is responsible for possessing and applying knowledge of industry trends and related regulations in the course of servicing Clients’ accounts in an innovative and efficient manner. This position shall also develop and maintain favorable internal and external relationships, with the end goal of providing the highest level of customer service by meeting or exceeding industry standards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform all Account Manager responsibilities, duties, and expectations
  • Oversees the servicing of a designated book of business as relating to marketing, claims and administration
  • Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with Clients, carriers and vendors
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Clients’ business, strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs
  • Monitor and research market trends, carrier product offerings and information that will increase their knowledge of the insurance industry, our clients and market verticals;
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment when providing related client guidance
  • Monitors and aligns functional strategy to emphasize innovation, continuous improvement and anticipation of Client, Business and industry needs and trends
  • Plans for contingencies and demonstrates effective and timely decision making, using business knowledge and data to take appropriate risks
  • Proactive in communication, conflict management and managing program timelines
  • Manages delegation, accountability and eliminates barriers to enhance operational discipline and productivity
  • Recommends and implements potential enhancements or improvements to processes, products and /or policies
  • Demonstrates financial acumen through analysis, interpretation and presentation of data, to identify problems and solutions
  • Conducts, creates, and interprets benefit benchmarking studies, design plan comparison reports. And Client marketing materials
  • Ability to market and analyze stop loss coverage
  • Interprets Clients’ current coverage plan, identifies gaps and recommends opportunities to expand lines of coverage to supervisor/producer
  • Develops and presents plan and renewal terms to Client
  • Analyzes quotes, negotiates with carriers and presents recommendations
  • Interprets and evaluates plan offerings to ensure adequate coverage for Clients’ identified risk tolerance
  • Identifies new markets for submission and seeks quote requests
  • Understands governmental compliance / regulations to educate Clients

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience.
    Five or more years of Client services experience is required
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
    Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within brokerage industry.
    Understand industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Ability to complete continuing education requirement as needed
  • Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
  • Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
    Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
  • Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Legally able to work in the United States
