We are currently looking for a Data Entry Clerk to Create and/or route electronic files in various programs to facilitate the review and follow up by underwriting or technical staff. Responsible for typing commercial and personal lines insurance policies and endorsements in a timely manner and with maximum accuracy.

Primary job responsibilities include:

Handles a high volume of electronic files and work with various computer applications and Internet sites.
Accesses necessary systems, ensures information complete in accordance with best practices and issue policies and/or endorsements timely and accurately.
Communicates with underwriters and/or agents to address concerns, complete files or deliver issued documents.
Understands and committed to total quality, as well as observant and detailed, while maintaining production/compliance standards.

Other candidate qualifications and skills include:

High School diploma or equivalent. Must have one (1) year of data entry experience preferred. Administrative or clerical experience will also be considered.
Ability to work independently and in a team. Excellent accuracy in typing, time management skills and time and attendance.
Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft applications as well as web-based applications.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to achieve 80% or higher on a spelling and grammar assessment.
Strong customer service, problem solving and resolution skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write and effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers managers, and the general public.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information.
