We are currently looking for a Phone Underwriter to address underwriting inquiries and handle underwriting activities while providing exceptional service to agents and insureds on behalf of our client.

Primary job responsibilities include:
Reviewing new and renewal policies and endorsements for determine insurability following client and company guidelines.
Addressing underwriting concerns, obtains all required documentation and takes underwriting action on non-compliant submissions.
Evaluating and determining policy cancellation or reinstatement, modification of coverage form or limit.
Receiving and handling calls regarding bind requests, endorsement requests, cancellations, reinstatements, inspections, missing information and quote submission for acceptability and process.

We are looking for highly-motivated professional who enjoy working with and helping others, to join our team. Other candidate qualifications and skills include:

Associates or Bachelors degree from a year college or university, business degree preferred;
Three (3) to five (5) years Agency experience in Personal Lines including homeowners and other lines
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Must have thorough knowledge of Property/Casualty Insurance operations and policy elements.
An active 2-20, 4-40 or 2044 license required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with proficient data entry skills and the ability to understand and correctly utilize multiple computer systems.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to achieve 80% or higher on a spelling and grammar assessment.
Demonstrated ability to confidently interact with and influence customers.
Strong customer service, problem solving and resolution skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information.
