The DevOps organization is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Developer for the DevOps Application Technology Services team. Specific experience preferred would include administrating large, complex Linux and Windows based Applications and services. Additional skills include understanding of SDLC and CI/CD methodologies, scripting, Docker, AWS and CHEF knowledge.

Under general supervision participates in an Agile team to develop and enhance low complexity infrastructure solutions from detailed specifications (software installation, maintenance and support, system logs and problem reports, adds, changes, deletes, disk space management, backups, and file restores) through code. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those software-defined infrastructure components. Competent to independently work on most phases of infrastructure development activities; requires instruction and guidance in phases. Analyzes low to medium complexity technical problems.


  • Develops efficient, maintainable, defect-free source code that meets operational, security and business requirements while adhering to team standards.

  • Collaborates on development of unit test cases

  • Develops test scripts

  • Conducts impact analysis

  • Contributes to researching technical alternatives, new technologies, and open sources

  • Interacts with Software Product and Infrastructure teams to gather and define user stories

  • Works with Agile team on development of an MVP and iterative development that delivers a high quality product

  • Participates in medium-level design activities by analyzing requirements and high level designs

  • Participates in the production of support documentation

  • Provides functional/system integration testing support.

  • Performs Quality Assurance coding review; defects or discrepancies in requirements identified and resolved with appropriate partners.

  • Collaborates on troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis

  • Identify improvement opportunities. (Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation)

  • Completes other project work or tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Generally 3+ years of professional experience.

  • Proficient in two or more programming languages and tools; knowledgeable in new and emerging technologies.

  • General knowledge business function(s) and business operations, as well as IT strategies, and methodologies, including understanding of agile software development concepts and processes.

  • General knowledge of layered systems architectures and understanding of shared software concepts, cloud based platforms, and development tools.

  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.

  • Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.

  • Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.

  • Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.
