Job Summary:
The Business Unit System Analyst III is responsible for providing expert system support for complex claims system problems/issues and handling projects that are complex in nature or projects supporting corporate initiatives and impacting other areas. Using an innovation mindset and full range skills to produce elegant and easy-to-use features for our customers and clients. You will be challenged to push the boundaries of whats possible in Lending Solutions, while sharing in our healthy obsession for quality, attention to detail and design.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Director of the Platform to execute the product roadmap and strategy
  • Analyzing request and using functional decomposition to define high-level epics and stories to create a well-organized, value-driven framework to provide the required business value in the Product Backlog.
  • Writing user stories that are easy to understand and implement by the development team
  • Defining success criteria while understanding and ensuring analytics are properly implemented
  • Maintaining the teams product backlog and advocating the teams product priorities
  • Working with the teams to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Working with Intake and Governance Coordinator when projects span through different platforms and stakeholders
  • Working with the Systems Director to understand the technical debt backlog and can assess priorities against those of the product
  • Signing off on acceptance testing and ensure all issues are addressed prior to launch
  • Triaging post-production issues and prioritizing remediation based on severity level
  • Being aware of business and company-wide goals


  • BA or BS degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related disciplines with information technology focus or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a Sr. Business Analyst or Product Owner
  • Advanced understanding of Agile practices such as: retrospectives, daily stand ups, backlogs, sprint planning, burn down techniques
  • Experience in managing moderate to high complexity, client facing projects
  • Expert knowledge in gathering requirements for and designing software
  • Advanced agile project management skills and the ability to lead a cross-functional team
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks, concurrently
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to drive the design and delivery of great customer experiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, self-motivated environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, presentation and analytical skills

This job is a grade 11.
