Job Description

Are you someone who can motivate others and has a strong desire to help others succeed?
VocWorks, a leading vocational service provider in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas, is currently looking for Job Coaches to work with individuals with disabilities. VocWorks provides individualized training and support services in order to enhance the stability and job retention of our clients. Services are provided at a variety of job sites throughout the community and require a flexible schedule. We are looking for caring and flexible individuals willing to work a variety of hours (evenings and weekends) in providing additional instructional and support to our clients as they begin and maintain meaningful employment. This position will require one-on-one job coaching with the ability to work with management and staff at the employer site. This position will be on a contingent basis with up to 20+ hours per week.

Candidates must be at least 18 and possess a valid driving license and willing to drive throughout the greater Dayton and Cincinnati areas. Also, candidate must be able to pass drug screen and background checks, as needed.



Detailed Job Description that we could use in house:
Provides necessary job shadowing support (on site job training or coaching), to ease transition of individual into community employment sites.
Assists participant in meeting production demands of the employment position during their training period.
Provides an open channel of communication with the employer, families, other team members, and Vocational Specialist in regard to progress and performance.
Adapts to a number of work site environments involving a variety of tasks, duties, employer/employee relationships, new production rates (of different jobs), operations and procedures, etc.
Assists the employer in modification/restructuring of jobs for individuals with disabilities, when necessary.
Arranges scheduled follow-up visits to provide job retention support services for employer and individual, as appropriate.
Completes all data collection and case noting as required by VocWorks and all government agencies.
Consults with Vocational Specialist Supervisor to assist in determination of case closure, staffings, continued or auxiliary services suggested.
Assists participant in developing transportation independence.
Assists each individual in the transition to community employment through developing social skills, teaching self advocacy techniques and assisting each individual in understanding their own strengths and weaknesses.
Conducts oneself as a positive role model for all participants in terms of appearance, socialization and teamwork.
