Customer Service Specialist II - Independence - part-time

We currently have a part-time, front-line, customer-facing opportunity at the Independence Branch Office for an individual who understands the meaning of Providing Legendary Customer Service and is committed to creating Members for Life!   

 

The Independence office is open Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, and Saturday 9:30am - 1:30pm.  The work schedule is not 'set,' and will average 28 hours per week.  Actual hours and schedule will vary based on business needs.  The hourly pay rate is $11.17 - $11.91, based on prior related work experience.  This is an excellent stepping-stone opportunity for someone interested in a  long-term career position.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet members and customers who arrive at the office, determine their needs, and provide Legendary Service;
  • Assist travelers by creating AAA TripTik® Travel Planners and marked road maps, providing destination information and making hotel and car rental reservations;
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend additional products and services to reach weekly goals;
  • Accept payments and provide accurate change and receipts;
  • Issue passport photos;
  • Balance & reconcile cash drawer

Qualifications

Qualified individuals will have:

  • Previous customer-facing interactions with exceptional understanding and drive to provide outstanding customer service;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with sales focus;
  • Motivated and career focused, with interest in development opportunities;
  • Exceptional focus on accuracy and strong attention to detail;
  • Strong PC/Windows and internet skills and familiarity with common office equipment and practices; 
  • Familiarity with U.S. geography, good sense of direction, ability to read road maps;
  • Previous money handling / cashiering experience with ability to make correct change;
  • Minimum H.S. diploma or GED

The selected candidate will be required to successfully complete pre-employment assessments, background and drug screenings.
