Job Description

This is a position is in our Allstate Insurance Company office in Hauppauge, NY. The selected incumbent will provide sales support and administrative support to internal/external customers and business partners with in our Education Department. And, this person will utilize a wide variety of systems and channels to investigate and resolve inquiries. Apply in-depth knowledge of department policy, systems, organization, communication, and sales strategies.



Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise within key areas of responsibility and recognizes impacts of related areas. Under minimal supervision create and maintain documentation for all assigned areas of Sales Support Department.



The Education Administrative role is great starting point for someone interested in learning about insurance and going into a facilitation role.



Key Responsibilities




  • Depending on assigned area within Sales Support, responsibilities could include the following

  • Work with SSD leadership team and SSD employees

  • Maintain current reports, manage work conditions, manage deliverables and new initiatives as assigned

  • Create and maintain functional documentation

  • Resolves processing items and communicates open items to agents.

  • Works as liaison between agent and underwriting departments to resolve outstanding policy issues when needed. For example: Allstate Financial, Property & Casualty, or Licensing issues.

  • Maintains tracking reports as assigned.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance programs.

  • Investigates and resolves complex processing issues in a timely manner

  • Performs advanced task using analytical and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision

  • Focuses on performing administrative functions and utilizing technology to achieve maximum effectiveness.

  • Reviews and responds promptly to email messages, correspondence, and phone calls.

  • Performs all administrative duties required.

Job Qualifications


  • Related work experience preferred

  • High school diploma required.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Requires strong communication skills. Including business writing, listening, telephone, and presentation skills.

  • Requires strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.

  • The ability to effectively work with diverse groups, peers, agents, customers, managers, and various Allstate entities
