Job Duties:

Evaluate specifications and translate them into a conceptual, logical, and physical set of architectural models and deliverables. Select which standards will be applied to a solution. Define how systems will be structured and constructed. Ensure architecture alignment with current and future business priorities and directives. Advise, consult, participate, and/or lead application prototypes and proof of concepts in support of application development projects. Leverage technology advances through tactical and strategic technology solutions, reference architectures, frameworks, and components. Ensure compliance in in-house developed, custom applications or services with control objectives to ensure continued data integrity and security, and compliance with industry, internal, and regulatory requirements. Participate in the comprehensive design of the overall application architecture for complex business systems that primarily utilize the Microsoft .Net framework. Participate in the development of system internal and external design specifications. Code, compile and test highly complex programs or modules. Help resolve production system problems. Conduct code walkthroughs and other technical reviews throughout project and maintenance life-cycles. Participate in the development of improved and innovative ways to utilize current system software, application system development and programming productivity aids, debugging and test tools. Investigate and recommend new methods, procedures, tools, and technologies. Participate with other IT professionals to evaluate new technologies in the market and recommend cohesive direction for the IT organization.


Four year college degree in information systems, technology, or related area of computer science or equivalent work experience.


Must be highly competent in a majority of the following areas: 

  • SQL, VB.NET, ASP.Net, Win/Web Forms, and Web Services. 
  • Good verbal, written, analytical, problem solving, team work and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficient in application design and modeling.
