We are currently searching for an Account Retention Associate Trainee who is interested in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Account Retention Associate Trainee will be responsible for telephone and electronic outreach directly to Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insureds to work with them in minimizing policy cancellations due to late or untimely payment practices. In addition to providing this service to Insureds, Account Retention Associate Trainee will also be able to discuss various payment options aimed at avoiding future untimely payment situations and discuss benefits of our Policyholder Service Center.

Responsibilities

  • Outreach to insureds prior to the start of Cancellation procedures
  • Entering payments for e check, ongoing direct draft, and credit card
  • Providing mailing information
  • Providing information pertaining to installment/late fees
  • Creating refinancing options based on endorsement or audit premiums
  • Documenting insured conversations
  • Documenting change of address/telephone/or policy contact information
  • Policyholder Service Center Review
  • Direct insureds to agent regarding additional potentially eligible products available to the insured
  • Work with Accounting Department when necessary to adjust billing or gather information
Qualifications

Qualified candidates will exhibit:

  • A very strong sense of self-motivation
  • Genuine interest in assisting insureds in order to avoid the unnecessary frustration of cancellation and reinstatement (and potential non-renewal)
