Job Summary
Assists in the development of Inland Marine forms, rules and rates to maintain current products, as well as for the development of new products. Assists in research of markets for new product opportunities: Underserved markets; Brand new products needed; Competitive analysis; Industry research.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provides input into the development of business case recommendation (Pro Forma Review, Business rationale, for development/decision process).
Works with the business to establish comprehensive customer product suite across BI
Development and maintenance of the products, including drafting of policy wordings in conjunction with legal and/or Product Directors
Work with Enterprise and/or Business to ensure collaboration across the enterprise.
Assists in the development of related product materials (sell sheets, manuals, guidelines, internal and external communications and training)
Assists in the development of underwriting guidelines and training materials to be used both internally and externally
Delivers training to the front line (where qualified to do so)
Works with Operations, Risk Control, Claim, Underwriting, Regulatory and Compliance in support of country-wide plans.
Maintenance of Forms and Filings.
Other project work and duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. 3 years of insurance experience with working knowledge and experience in product, underwriting or coverage required. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
5 years of Business Insurance experience. Business insurance forms/product development, claims or legal experience. General knowledge and understanding of Business Insurance products, systems, contracts, forms, coverage, distribution channels, regulatory environment and insurance financials. General knowledge of Microsoft Office Visio General knowledge of Impromptu or similar query tool. Ability to collect data from data marts or willingness and ability to develop these skills.

Preferred Qualifications
5 years of Inland Marine experience.
Business insurance forms/product development, underwriting, claims or legal experience.
General knowledge and understanding of Business Insurance products, systems, contracts, forms, coverage, distribution channels, regulatory environment and insurance financials.
Excellent communication skills, particularly writing skills
Experience in drafting wordings, or developing and maintaining
Has a good understanding of systems and operating procedures to enable workable solutions
General knowledge of Microsoft Office Visio
General knowledge of Impromptu or similar query tool. Ability to collect data from data marts or willingness and ability to develop these skills.


Licensing or Certificates
Preferred: matriculation in CPCU, IIA, or other recognized insurance designations (examples: ARM, CIC)
