Physicians Mutual is hiring a full-time Business Development Specialist - Medicare Supplement Direct to generate leads and appointments for our Licensed Medicare Supplement Direct Agents. When a lead is identified, youll do a warm transfer to a Licensed Agent or schedule an appointment for further consultative advice. In this role, youll make outbound calls as well as receive inbound calls.

In addition to lead generation, youll follow up with customers to:

  • Gather necessary customer information
  • Update records in our contact management system
  • Keep records up-to-date
  • Execute other miscellaneous correspondence to increase sales and customer retention

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year telesales experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer focused with a strong understanding of insurance
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to relate to customers with varying degrees of insurance knowledge
  • A quick thinker able to react to customer feedback and provide sound insurance information to meet the customers needs.
  • Proficient in PC and telephone technologies
  • Ability to produce in a high production environment and meet established goals.
