Responsible for ongoing development of audit functions as they relate to appraisal product quality, appraiser independence, appraisal disciplinary policies and regulatory compliance.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Design and assist in the implementation of organization-wide audit processes.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of audit forms and processes.
  • Manage record keeping system to retain audit results, appraiser independence, vendorstrike documentation and discipline committee results.
  • Develop, maintain, provide notifications of appraiser discipline actions and policies.
  • Provide training through the analysis of audit information to department leaders.
  • Perform and manage the QC audit process.
  • Monitor, develop and provide notifications to appraisers for information obtained through ASC and state notifications of discipline received.
  • Develop & maintain record keeping system to retain records necessary to be in compliance with state AMC regulations as it relates to review products needed per legislation.
  • Develop, manage process of credit card disputes.
  • Monitor, manage process for client and appraiser notifications regarding FEMA declarations and severe weather alerts.
  • Assist Chief Appraiser to continuously monitor new, proposed and revised regulations, state statues and administrative rules and policies as they relate to AMCs and the activities of our clients to determine internal impact on company procedures and policies.
  • Participate/assist in the implementation of policies and procedures necessary for compliance once the interpretation and business impact was determined.
  • Interpretation of regulations, statues and rules.
  • Ensure that all state AMC licenses and bonds are current.
  • Assist in RFI/vendor questionnaires/audits as needed.
  • Fulfill all required state filings.
  • Manage the daily performance of audit department associates to maintain production levels and determine staffing needs.

Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • 5 years industry experience in the field of mortgage origination, underwriting, operational or performance audit, third party risk/oversight, mortgage insurance, appraisal and/or other related mortgage positions.

Basic Qualifications Preferred - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • College degree
