The Sr. Business Analyst works as a consultant to the business, applying a strategic approach and focus towards information systems, innovation and business processes, key drivers/metrics of success for the business; Meets with decision makers and end users to achieve the strategic vision, identify gaps, analyzes complex problems, proposes innovative solutions and provides thought leadership on an advisory basis to the business as it pertains to ACE business processes, improvements, industry trends and best practices.
The Sr. Business analyst also works with the business architect to identify and plan, in collaboration with the business, efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core business functions and business processes to align with business goals; Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow; Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems; This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements; Responsible for developing process flows, generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues.
This individual will establish collaborative relationships, and apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments; Provides leadership in the evaluation of vendor package software as a potential solution to meet business needs; Conducts research and provides recommendations as a result of package evaluation; Work is creative and not routine; Receives only very general supervision; discusses or seeks approval on the most complex matters; Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience; Typically 5-10 years of IT experience (or equivalent experience working as a business team members on IT projects); Knowledge and experience in call center and the ability to discuss business strategy preferred.
High-level understanding of organization's business systems and processes, as well as industry-wide requirements; Proven self-starter with demonstrable interpersonal skills; Proven ability to conceptualize and communicate solutions to business partners; Must understand technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment; Possess knowledge and experience leveraging both IT solutions and business process improvements; Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products; Ability to think big picture and deep dive into details; Collaborative mindset and inherent desire to partner with the business to identify product and/or service opportunities; Extensive knowledge and understanding of the organization's goals and objectives; Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent listening and interpersonal skills; Logical and efficient; Creative and innovative; Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required; Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language; Highly self-motivated and directed; Instills enthusiasm and provides vision and example; Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
