Regional insurance carrier is seeking a Sr. Accounting Rep to work out of their Tampa Bay FL area office. Duties and responsibility include the preparation, review and/or reconciliation of regulatory reports. Will prepares financial statements and operational reports in accordance with statutory accounting principles and Department of Financial and Insurance Regulations. Prepares monthly accounting including premium accruals, expense, etc. and preforms other accounting related duties. Seeking candidates with the desire and capabilities to move into Controller role within six months to a year. To qualify, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. A CPA is a requirement for the role. Candidates must have a minimum of five to seven years of related experience in public accounting. 3 to 4 yrs. experience with statutory accounting is highly desirable, 2 to 3 yrs. minimally. Knowledge and experience with MAS90, SunGard EPS, Books TCP and Microsoft Access is preferred.
