Private Banking Officer Job Summary
Salary Range: $91,026.00-$104,680.00-$118,334.00

The Private Banking Office is responsible for representing Westfield Bank to internal / external customers and prospects for the purpose of developing both consumer loan and deposit services. Develops and maintains private banking criteria in a manner that results in profitable customer relationships. Utilizes knowledge and experience in providing financial advice and selling banking solutions.

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)
1. Representing Westfield Bank to potential external / external customers and prospects for the purpose of developing both consumer loan and deposit services. Lending authority is typically up to $250,000.
2. Develops new personal clients (typically focused on high net worth individuals) for the bank by prospecting for eligible private banking clients and selling them on Westfield Banks value proposition.
3. Refers new clients and opportunities to various departments (e.g. Mortgage, Retail, Commercial).
4. Develops and maintains profitable customer relationships with clients by providing financial advice and selling banking solutions.
5. Networks within the business/civic communities to create new sales and business development opportunities for the full range of Westfield Bank services.
6. Creates and develops flexible private banking solutions and products for customers. Presents possible solutions to Bank Executive team and potential customers.
7. Uses prior banking/business experience and understanding of cash flow to analyze and recommend loan requests and set loan pricing options.
8. Understands, respects, and complies with all laws, rules and regulations which govern Banking institutions.
9. Presents financial solutions that result in a profitable banking relationship that complies with all bank policies and standards.
10. Makes calls on business and prospective clients independently.
11. May accompany market leaders and commercial lenders on client visits.
12. May resolve difficult client situations involving the negotiation of pricing and collection of delinquent loans, etc.
13. Continually looks for opportunities to proactively upgrade and improve Bank administrative processes, technology, automation and controls.
14. Maintains awareness, understanding and compliance with the Bank's internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations appropriate for this position.
15. Provides assistance in response to regulatory and internal/external audit requests.
16. Travels as needed in order to perform other essential functions.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)
1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant private banking or wealth management experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
3. Demonstrated strong written, oral, interpersonal and presentation communication skills.
4. Must display a high level of initiative via an entrepreneurial spirit.
5. Proven ability to build customer relationships.
6. Proven ability to be detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
7. Demonstrated strong financial/banking acumen, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills.
8. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word) or other transferable software packages.
9. Bachelors degree or demonstrated commensurate experience.
10. Valid drivers license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing and working on a computer for extended periods of time).
Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
