Medical Malpractice claims without a game plan for resolution can end up costing corporations and insurers significant dollars relating to extra indemnity and expense payments. With a proven workflow and process, Claims Closure and Auditing services can decrease case reserves, thus lowering IBNR and significantly reducing the amount of collateral required, therefore releasing cash for investments or bottom line results.

This claims and audit advisory client has become an adviser and partner to major insurers and reinsurers, Fortune 500 companies, law firms, MGAs, brokers and captives.

Due to rapid expansion of their insurance consulting services, we are seeking a dynamic and professional person to serve as a Medical Malpractice Claims Project Manager.  This individual will be responsible for managing a team of 4-6 Adjusters handling medical malpractice, nursing home facility and long-term care claims.

The Medical Malpractice Claims Project Manager analyzes and processes complex/technically difficult claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim; manages claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.

Skills, abilities and experiences needed for this position:

  • 10+ years of medical malpractice, medical/nursing home facility and long-term care claim experience.
  • Supervisory experience managing a claims unit or TPA.
  • Mediation/Arbitration experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
