Job Duties:

As a Hadoop Application Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for daily operations and maintenance of IT systems. Platforms include Red Hat Linux version 7, VMWare You will be required to keep these IT systems maintained and optimized through daily, weekly, and monthly system tuning and periodic system maintenance. 

Day-to-day operations will require interfacing with other IT departments, developers and project management. Manage testing and implementation of upgrades and changes to supported systems following change control processes.


Extensive experience in installing, Configuring and troubleshooting Hadoop Applications Services and Servers. Certified Cloudera Hadoop Administrator. Work skills should include: Experience with RedHat Linux RHEL 7.x. Basic understanding with Java, Hive Query Language to troubleshoot Hive jobs. Cluster resource management using YARN. Experience with Kerberos and Active Directory Authentication, troubleshooting and maintaining RHEL servers. Security: Experience with Sentry to setup Security. 

Experience with Data Encryption tools KMS/KTS. Experience with Cloudera Impala Good working knowledge of Hadoop echo system such as Spark, HBase, Kafka Good working knowledge of Data ingestion tools such as Informatica BDM, Sqoop, Attunity.Good working knowledge of MySQL. Strong skill in shell and python scripting language. Exposure to networking and load balancing solution such as F5. On-call rotation with other team members. Requires Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and 3-5 years of related Hadoop and Linux experience.
