Senior Commercial Lines Licensed Agent


General Description:

Working with our business customers, we seek to deliver high-quality insurance products and services. The AmVenture customer service center is the primary point of contact for servicing our direct customers questions, concerns and inquiries regarding their insurance policies. As a customer service representative your primary responsibility will be to create an exceptional customer experience on each and every interaction.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service in a timely and professional manner
  • Answer in-coming phone calls and answer emails from customers and perform associated tasks dependent upon product/program/carrier
  • Facilitate on-boarding of new customers including following up on required documents, signatures, etc.
  • Maintain a strong comprehension of our offered products and carriers
  • Meet or exceed the established production and quality measurements for all work types
  • Process paperwork from customers and other internal processes within contractual services levels
  • Handle change, cancel, reinstatement requests

Work Environment:

  • Fast paced environment with frequent internal and external customer contact
  • Not work-from-home eligible


Required Skills and Experiences:

  • P&C licensed or the ability to obtain P&C license
  • Minimum 2 years of proven telephone customer service experience
  • Excellent ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Desire and ability to work independently
  • Solution focused - proactively and creatively seeking out opportunities for process improvement
  • Proven ability to maintain composure in stressful and emotional situations while managing to diffuse angry or irate members
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with individuals and teams
  • Open to providing and receiving constructive feedback and coaching
  • Ability to change work hours with notice to meet business needs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and ability to learn new software programs

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Familiarity with insurance (P&C)
  • Professional designations
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
