Job Summary
Under broad oversight, responsible for setting creative direction related to the development of all design, written, and/or multimedia content. Position manages others.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the business area, setting objectives and goals for employees managing performance and making hiring and compensation decisions. Accountable for overall performance of business area. Oversee the development and delivery of design, written, and/or multimedia content for marketing initiatives enterprise wide. (Generally will oversee multiple functions). Oversees and drives the creation, development, and delivery of the most complex/sophisticated design, written, and/or multimedia content for use across different mediums and published across a variety of marketing channels. Oversee compliance of established design, written, and/or multimedia content standards and techniques consistent with marketing objectives and recommend refined/new standards based upon market practices and organizational objectives. Consult with senior marketing and business partners to define, execute, and monitor design, written, and/or multimedia content strategies to maximize effectiveness in addressing business objectives. Oversee content initiatives to ensure that they support business objectives, delivering required look, feel and appeal. Identify and recommend changes for maximum effectiveness. Utilizes full array of design, written, and/or multimedia content applications, software, tools and equipment to create marketing content. Stays abreast of cutting edge technology and makes recommendations to senior management on potential enhancements. Defines content parameters/strategies that capture and project corporate identity and maximize style, brand identification and translates desired impact. Oversee design, written, and/or multimedia content strategies to ensure that brand identity are reinforced by all marketing content. Develop recommendations on potential enhancements to content strategies and present to senior management Responsible for managing staff responsible for developing either design, written, and/or multimedia content. Accountable for recruiting, selection and onboarding of new staff. Coach development and manage performance. Makes compensation recommendations to senior management. Establish vision and ensure that objectives are clearly defined for unit/function. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing and/or editorial. Minimum of 5 years of experience within content marketing function Minimum of 4 years of management experience

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience. 8 plus years of experience in marketing and/or editorial preferred 5 plus years of experience within content marketing function. 5 plus years of management experience preferred Experience as a writer and/or editor for a digital content function. Experience leading others through influence as well as management. Experience in business-to-business and business-to-consumer. Experience in SEO best practices and operations Experience at developing multimedia content for the Web (videos, infographics, interactives, images, text narrative) Experience in insurance and/or financial services a plus. Thorough knowledge of data-driven content marketing (collection of social and digital data in order to understand what audiences want and need). Thorough knowledge of key elements of content marketing from search visibility to production and publishing to measuring effectiveness. Advanced knowledge of subject matter in order to solve unusual as well as common work problems and advise on technical matters and to serve as a resource to organization
