Under administrative direction, the primary function of the Claims Branch Supervisor is to provide leadership and direction to 3-6 claims employees within a specified unit. The Supervisor assists in the overall direction of the claims branch to minimize indemnity and expense impact, to ensure appropriate reserve levels, and to implement claims objectives, policies and procedures. The Branch Supervisors is also responsible for staff supervision including driving employee engagement, providing performance feedback, conducting disciplinary actions, ensuring employee communications, and assessing work quality.
Typical Education Requirement: successful completion of a Bachelor's degree (BA, BS)
Typical Experience Requirement: 3+ years of in-depth claims handling of experience.
A combination of experience and education will be considered.
Successful completion of in-house training program required.
- This position will manage individuals who handle litigated and non-litigated Injury Claims for Private Passenger Auto, Commercial Auto, and 3rd Party Property losses.
- Detailed experience handling NJ and NY Body Injury claims is required.
- 3 + years of litigation experience is preferred.
- Prior leadership experience is a plus.
