Regional Finance works across multiple areas to provide critical information that drives optimal business performance. We recommend innovative solutions that guide strategies and improve operational results. Our work includes timely reporting, critical analysis and essential financial projections as we collaborate with business leaders across the corporation.
This position requires up to 50% travel to our various regions throughout the country during the first 18 months. After 18 months, the goal is to place this person in one of our regional office (outside of Illinois).
- Independently lead and direct daily execution of analysis and communication of financial results and formulation of financial projections for key products, markets and initiatives
- Facilitate achievement of business objectives with minimal guidance; while handling multiple deadlines and opposing priorities
- Anticipate issues and concerns and takes proactive measures to identify business implications and recommend solutions
- Build financial team excellence through developing analysts financial acumen
- Ensure departments credibility and reputation by delivering high quality financial measurement, reporting, planning and consulting
- Serve as financial adviser and guide in absence of Regional Financial Manager
- Collaborate on identified needs by using forecasting, planning, strategy, measurement, business case development, capital management and internal controls
- Build and communicate convincing story lines and forward thinking insights, beyond numbers, to help leaders understand results and anticipate challenges and opportunities
- Prepare the strategic and operating plans for the Region and utilize forecast updates to influence management decisions
- Lead multi-discipline project teams
- Lead team members to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness (e.g., conflict/problem resolution, process/system improvements, resource procurement, supportive environment)
- Maximize talent through consistent and effective use of the departments talent management strategy
- High-level of knowledge of general corporate finance
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of financial and analytical expertise
- Knowledge of accounting principles and general audit procedures
- Experience in planning, forecasting and expense budgeting
- Ability to build relationships with clients while offering analysis and recommending corrective actions based on emerging trends
- Independent thinker with a strong team mindset
- Inspire a positive team environment and motivate others to achieve better than expected results
- Organizational and time management skills - leads through ambiguity, prioritizes multiple projects to meet business partner needs
- Effective communication across multiple levels and mediums
- Demonstrated experience in talent and people management
- BA or BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related area of study
