Job Summary
Reports to the Service Center Manager. Position is responsible for all activities related to the establishment and maintenance of complex Commercial Accounts Group or IBS policies. Resolves problems for and provides quality service to internal and external customers. At the middle level of the career path, incumbents will have mastered most functions of the job and have developed productive relationships with the internal and external customers that they support. They have developed expertise in several product lines, and are able to apply existing guidelines and procedures without close supervision.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Complete the issuance of complex Commercial Accounts ( Midsize, International and Loss Sensitive) new business, renewals and changes by reconciling information from various sources and inputting into the automated systems. Make adjustments necessary to arrive at the predetermined premium as applicable. Meet policy coverage requirements by researching and determining the appropriate coverage forms based on state eligibility and approval. Complete forms in a manner that is clear and legally acceptable. Thoroughly review incoming requests and policy issuance information for completeness, compliance with marketing guidelines and state filings. Record and refer those that are outside the guidelines to the Marketing department for approval. Offer processing alternatives which will comply with company policy or state requirements. Review and process less complex changes to existing policies within designated guidelines. Provide customer service to agents, insureds and Travelers departments. Contact internal and external resources to research and resolve issues. Take ownership for work-in-progress issues as an individual and team member by continuously looking for ways to improve/streamline work and procedures which increase the efficiency of the team. Manage own work in process and support team efforts to ensure that individual, team and office goals are met. Provide the Claim department with account coverage information as requested. Act in a leadership role by providing guidance and training to less experienced staff members, distributing work, monitoring results, facilitating meetings and team member evaluations. etc. Prepare Countersignature forms in accordance with state laws. Extensive research required using databases and contacting marketing in determining non resident licensing information as well as private agreement arrangements. Perform on and off site training for marketing locations in the policy issuance process. Responsible for quality checking policies until certification is complete. Provide ongoing support to marketing once certified. Create, coordinate and assist with our in house quality assurance program. Perform regular audits on completed work to insure accuracy of quality results. Act as a Line of Business Coordinator for at least one major product line. Maintain internal reference database by populating with new information and keeping existing information current. Perform test pilots to research and solve system problems. De-bug new applications and version changes to existing systems. Manually prepare Word documents, code and key non-automated transactions into financial/statistical system. Print and distribute these manual documents to all internal and external customers. Perform other work related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of work experience in operations or insurance required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Knowledge of multi-line property casualty insurance coverages, terminology and coding. Solid analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated skill in the use of the computer systems, various software applications including the internet explorer. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service orientation. Mathematical skills. Keyboard skills.
