Working in our Worker's Compensation Underwriting Service Center of Excellence as an Underwriting Assistant at the ICW Group, you will support underwriters throughout all account management activities. By tapping into your superior communication skills, you provide extraordinary customer service to the Companys clients. You are quick on your foot which enables you to easily adapt to changing priorities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Issues both new and renewal policies accurately and timely.
Performs account management activities during the policy term.
Serves as the first point of contact for customer inquiries during the policy term.
Ensures accurate documentation of online policy files.
Handles correspondence for additional policy information.
Assists producers via email and phone calls.
Prepares renewal file for underwriter.
Trains co-workers on computer systems and department procedures.
Duties may include any reasonable Company-related assignments as directed by Management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
1-3 months related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Working knowledge of department specific applications. Basic Word and Excel knowledge. Basic research skills. Flexible. Team oriented. Ability to adapt to changing situations quickly.
