Senior Programmer

Trumbull, Connecticut


The Senior Programmer will prepare detailed specifications from which computer programs will be written. The senior programmer will communicate with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. 


  • Design, develop and optimize web applications in a Microsoft based development environment
  • Troubleshoot, debug and maintain web and batch applications
  • Translate business users’ requirements into actionable specifications
  • Meet programming standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identify work process improvements
  • Strive to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new and improved systems
  •  Architect, develop and implement software programs to meet business requirements
  • Develop application code and modules for business and technical requirements
  • Tune up design for maintainability, scalability and efficiency
  • Design and develop systems, sub-systems and programs
  • Coordinate and support technical staff and operations
  • Resolve and troubleshoot problems and complex issues
  • Perform unit tests and fix bugs
  • Integrate best qualitative practices in design and development aspects of programs


  • Five + years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with leading teams for assigned projects
  • Familiarity or proficiency in the following areas: Net, Ajax, Analysis, Analyst, ASP, ASP.NET, C#, CSS, Database, Developer, Development, HTML, Javascript, jQuery, Lifecycle, Linux, OOD, Programmer, Project, SQL, SQL Server, UML, Web Developer, Windows, XML
  • Work nights/weekends/Holiday as needed
  • Understand complex issues and solve problems
