Job Summary
Under moderate supervision this position, in partnership with claim professionals and leadership, is responsible for ensuring strong financial controls and compliance. Responsibilities include compiling and trending claim/financial data, developing exhibits, and communicating business trends to a broad audience. This position does not manage staff.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Controls and Assessments: Ensures financial standards, including: Performs and validates the effectiveness of financial controls and communicates findings. Assesses the reasonableness of data as well as identifying discrepancies, including reconciliations. Participates and presents information during various types of audits and reviews. Supports statutory reporting requirements Data and Information Management: Compiles accurate records and information management, such as: Prepares, generates and analyzes daily/monthly/ quarterly and ad hoc reports. Updates data discrepancies identified in reports and systems. Uses management information data to prepare line of business or financial reports. Identifies business trends and communicates recommendations to leadership. Assists with budget analysis to include expenses and staffing. Reviews operational workflows, documents findings, and provides recommended solutions for improvement. Claim Operational Service and Partnerships: Partners with claim professionals in multiple departments to assist with the timely resolution of claims, which may include: Resolves standard or complex problems including recommended process improvements. Researches statutory requests and/or financial/operational reporting requirements and provides details to management in an effort to assist with a response. Serves as subject matter expert in data analysis and the use of technology (i.e. software, systems, and tools). Assists in resolving assigned claim or expense issues. Assists with onboarding and training of Operations team employees. Collaborates with peers locally and nationally to share knowledge. Customer Engagement: Serves as a customer service representative for the claim department, which may include: Handles external and internal customer questions and concerns. Performs quality customer contacts during catastrophic claim events. Completes and may lead short-term and long-term projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of work or customer service related experience OR Bachelor's Degree required. Experience utilizing computer technology; such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software. Intermediate/Required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Licensing or Certificates
A willingness to commence or continue Chartered Insurance Institute studies or relevant Finance qualification.
