Product Development & Compliance Representative

The Product Development & Compliance Representative is primarily responsible for uploading and maintaining the manuscript utility in policy decisions, the company’s policy issuance system.  This position requires a strong technical background, and the ability to utilize current software technology to upload, convert and finalize insurance policy documents. This position will also assist other areas of product development, as needed or required.

  • Work with senior department members to review and edit policy forms and manual rule pages, as assigned. 
  • Work with Underwriting area to store manuscript endorsements and policies in our manuscript policy issuance system.
  • Act as the forms library numbering coordinator, keeping track of the company’s internal form numbering system, and utilizing the forms library hierarchy to maintain order of the various Line of Business form lists.
  • Assist in the review and evaluation of ISO, AAIS and NCCI  for new products and product revisions. Assist in the planning/decision process, and assist in the development of various disclosures and/or company responses necessary for State Compliance and implementation.
  • Assist in updating and reviewing/revising underwriting documents and related information onto the company’s website (Source), including underwriting guidelines for rating, forms, procedural and authority issues, as well as other instructional/directional material, as assigned.
  • Review regulatory publications to keep apprised of new regulatory developments, and evaluate, respond to and implement as required in conjunction with management direction.
  • Participate in underwriting audit process when needed.  Assist Sr. Specialist (audit lead) with completion of audit tasks (example – running audit result reports within ClearSight, the company’s audit tool).


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.   
  • 2+ years’ experience in product development is preferred. 
  • General knowledge of insurance company operations and ISO, AAIS and NCCI products are preferred.
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to communicate in an articulate and confident manner.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite , Proficient with Underwriting systems
