Legal Support Clerk- Litigation Adjuster

A Legal Support Clerk is a full-time position that performs a wide variety of Legal clerical work in support of the Litigation Adjuster Team. This position is responsible for handling administrative duties and day to day clerical work. This is an extremely detail oriented position in which a successful candidate will perform essential support duties for In-House Litigation Adjusters. There is a strong possibility of advancement within the department.
•Assists Litigation Adjusters claims files for Personal Injury Protection (PIP) cases
•Organizes and prints digital files for deposition preparation
•Submits and pulls records from various third-party vendors
•Assists in the preparation of mediations, arbitrations and depositions
•Submits medical bills and documentation to the designated third-party vendor; follows up and retrieves processed medicals
•Creates and updates patient payment logs
•Assists in special projects
•Processes department payments, responses and mailings
•Returns phone calls in a timely manner
•Complies with standard operating procedures and litigation handling guidelines
•Ad hoc responsibilities and reporting as requested
Desired Skills and Experience
•At least 1 year of experience working in an office environment
•Computer skills a must, Excel preferred
•Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
•Reporting and administration support skills
•Team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
•Ability to multitask
•Interest in the Legal field
