The Sr. Claims Examiner is responsible for the creation, handling, processing, and review of claims from inception through closing. Primary job responsibilities include:
Reviews, evaluates and processes claims and makes recommendations for resolution
Communicates claim status with agents, claimants, and policy holders
Receive and compile information in the creation of claims files
Ability to assign and direct Independent Field Adjusters, Defense Counsel and other claim vendors
Accurately and efficiently enter information into computer system(s)
Researches information that may be missing from loss notices and other forms
Respond to claim file communications as required
Prepare claims file documents and forms as may be required
Ability to perform claims audits
Develops claim files in format and fashion required
May be involved in the oversight and/or assistance of larger claims Prepares timely, concise reports as required
Evaluates liability and damages; identifies subrogation/salvage opportunities or suspicious claims
Participates in correcting errors identified by the system
Interact and negotiate with claimants and attorneys
Attend mediations, depositions and trials as necessary

We are looking for a highly-motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with and helping others, to join our team. Other candidate qualifications and skills include:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university required, RMI degree highly preferred.
10+ years of claims experience in Personal or Commercial P&C lines required. General Liability experience a plus.
5+ years of Litigation experience a must.
Active and current Florida Adjusters (6-20) license required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with proficient data entry skills and the ability to understand and correctly utilize multiple computer systems.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to achieve 80% or higher on a spelling and grammar assessment.
Demonstrated ability to confidently interact with and influence customers.
Strong customer service, negotiation, problem solving and resolution skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information.
