Acadia is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to provide technical assistance to our Inland Marine underwriters and agents. As an important member of our Inside Unit, this individual will play a critical role in the underwriting process of our Inland Marine business, monitoring referrals from our on line quote platform, and other key projects. Position includes a level of underwriting authority and requires good communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
Our ideal candidate will be flexible, have an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a team environment. A minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial property casualty environment is required. Excellent customer service, organizational skills and mathematical aptitude are key in this position. Strong PC skills with experience in Microsoft Windows and Office applications and analytical ability are required. Knowledge of inland marine or property coverages preferred
