Germania Insurance is currently looking for a Property Claims Manager & a Casualty Claims Manager at our office in Dallas, Texas! These managers will have to work from our office in Dallas - no working from home!

General Job Overview:

Direct and control the claims activities of the Direct Handling Unit.  Responsible for the interviewing, hiring, counseling and promoting of their  employees.

Share responsibility with Claims Management for insuring prompt and satisfactory adjustment of all valid losses occurring to property/casualty, insured by Germania Companies, in their designated areas of responsibility.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for directing a unit of Casualty/Property Claims Representatives and Casualty/Property Team  Leads by planning, organizing, training, and controlling their work on various types of property/casualty claims. 

Provides technical assistance to unit on coverage issues, investigation, negotiation techniques, case evaluation, and subrogation.  Promotes exceptional customer service.

Audits each team member claims monthly by utilizing ClaimsMonitor.   Utilizes the audit results to identify training needs on an individual based need for each team member.  Reviews the audit findings with team member on an individual basis to provide timely feedback.

Coordinate with claims management to ensure equitable workload distribution for Property/Casualty Claims Representatives under their supervision.  Recommend reassignment of claims to assure all claims are completed within statutory timelines.  Recommend necessary alteration of areas to assure resources are efficiently utilized.

Initial Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of five (5) years claims experience.  Insurance related designation (CPCU, AIC, etc.) and a minimum of five (5) years claims handling experience or a minimum of five years claims management experience may be considered in lieu of the bachelors degree requirement.

A minimum of 1-2 years of claims management experience.
