SUMMARY


Responsible for supporting the delivery of consulting projects to our employer prospects and clients.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Conducts financial analyses for clients including Rx proposal comparisons, underwriting, forecasting and rebate estimating, as well as works on financial/data driven projects for current and prospective clients.


Supports and participates in bidding for prospective clients.


Uses financial skill set to negotiate with Pharmacy Benefits Managers and carriers on behalf of our clients for annual renewals and marketing efforts.


Prepares first draft of new business and client deliverables.


Works with Senior Pharmacy Consultants and other health benefit consultants to support client strategy development.


Researches issues of concern to large employers in the pharmacy industry, assimilating information, and developing a written summary for the Senior Pharmacy Consultant to review and refine a point of view.


Manages projects, using appropriate tools, to ensure projects are being completed on time and with appropriate quality assurance checks.


Works with client teams to ensure pharmacy practice resources are used appropriately, increasing efficiency by identifying ways to improve processes.


Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).



QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's Degree in Health Care or related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience


Three (3) or more years of direct experience in an actuarial, underwriting, pricing or consulting role in a Health & Welfare consulting/brokerage firm, PBM or health insurance carrier specializing in pharmacy benefits analytics.


Working knowledge of commercial health insurance industry and financial acumen

Ability to work with large data sets in Excel, Access, or other large data manipulation software a plus


Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
