Job Description: Job Summary
Audit Claims under commercial and personal lines policies for regulatory compliance.

Essential Job Functions
1) Audit claim files of various state jurisdictions in accordance with developed regulatory audit worksheets.
2) Conduct audits in accordance with Internal Audit Manual Procedures.
3) Communicate findings to auditees in a clear and concise manner.
4) Summarize audit findings and recommendations into written reports in a timely manner.
5) Conduct meetings with auditees as necessary to expedite remediation.
6) Present audit findings to Internal Audit Management Committee.
7) Conduct field training in various areas of regulatory compliance.
8) Keep Supervisor apprised of significant findings or issues.
9) Attend claims related training as needed to maintain technical expertise.
10) Maintain knowledge base of current state regulations and communicate changes to the field
11) Assist with Special Projects, as necessary.



Other Functions
Ability to work in a team environment
Travel to other Branch offices and TPAs to perform audits

Qualifications for Position
- College Degree
- Five to eight years of experience handling claims for a major insurance carrier
- Knowledge of Auto, General Liability, Commercial Property, Homeowners and Workers Compensation claims handling
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Power Point)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self starter
- Strong decision making /interpersonal skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Able to change claims staff behavior by building professional relationships
