Job Description:
Job Summary:

In a staff role, perform a mix of dotted-line leadership, analysis, reporting, and recordkeeping to drive increased subrogation, salvage, and subsequent injury fund recoveries.

Specific Authority Granted:

Payments, recoveries, and reserves: Loss up to $250,000 plus allocated adjustment expenses up to $125,000.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Perform national oversight for all recoveries, including subrogation, salvage, and subsequent injury fund recoveries.
2. Create, maintain, analyze, and publish various periodic management reports as needed.
3. Timely revise Consolidated Claim Procedures for recoveries as needed.
4. Research, establish, publish, and monitor the performance of an approved panel of subrogation attorneys.
Initiate, maintain, and renew more than 120 contracts with trading partners of the Claims Service Department, following various TMM guidelines. Maintain necessary records and create tracking reports as necessary.
5. Maintain manager-level oversight diary on larger potential recoveries.
6. Negotiate large recoveries as needed.
7. Work with line managers of Claims Service Department staff involved in recoveries to achieve an improved level of recoveries, including design and delivery of internal traiing as necessary.
8. Maintain necessary information security in accordance with TMM information security policies.
9. Continually monitor legal developments, analyze them, and implement any changes necessary to react to them.

Qualifications

1. Four-year college degree
2. Five years claims adjusting experience required, multiple lines of claims preferred
3. Three years claims supervision required
3. Ability to work with line managers to achieve necessary results
4. Ability to create quality management reports using combinations of WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint
5. Must be able to work effectively with limited supervision
