Outside Property Claim Representatives
The ideal candidate will have experience handling homeowners claims and be capable of working out of their home. You will inspect property losses, primarily in Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties, to determine coverage, estimate damages and settle first party claims.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle personal property claims with exposure generally under $25,000. Strong emphasis on preparation of building damage estimates and handling of contents. Provides quality same day contact of involved parties. Read and interpret policies, contracts and other technical data to determine policy obligations. Recognize subrogation and salvage opportunities and handle per required guidelines. Recognize potential fraud and pursue further investigation with support of SIU. Delivery of high level customer service to policyholders and agents.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
2 or more years of experience in handling property losses. Solid experience in writing building damage estimates. College degree or equivalent in business discipline preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent time management skills. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Solid knowledge of property claim handling skills to include: Coverage analysis, investigative ability, verification and resource management skills. Strong computer aptitude and skills are critical to this position.
