This position is responsible for providing daily HR support for the Duluth HR department and the Duluth center.
Key responsibilities
- The HR Associate must possess a positive attitude and cheerful personality. This person is the first impression into the HR department. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and greet all visitors to the HR department.
- Provide various levels of customer service support to employees and HR department members
- Act as the first point of contact for answering general HR related questions
- Prepare Department of Labor responses
- Maintain all filing for the department, including auditing of files
- Oversee the internal recognition program, birthday program, service award program, ICUE program, etc
- Assemble orientation materials for new hire packets and assist with the facilitation of new hire orientation
- Collect, audit, and file all new hire paper work
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating department meetings, focus group meetings, etc
- Assist in coordinating programs and events such as health fairs, lunch & learn sessions, HR training and management training classes

SKILLS REQUIRED Required skills/experience
- College degree in human resources or 2 - 3 years recent human resources experience
- High level of confidentiality
- Professional written/verbal communication skills
- Excellent public speaking skills and ability to assist with the facilitation of new hire orientation
- Impeccable attention to detail and follow up skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Must have great time management skills in a very fast paced environment, with the ability to work on multiple tasks effectively and efficiently and demonstrate flexibility
- Ability to switch gears quickly and respond to unexpected tasks
- Effective relationship management skills

- High level of proficiency with computers, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, preferred
