Location: This position may be located at any WellPoint office.
This Technical Business Systems Advisor/Sr. Advisor/ Executive Advisor is responsible for defining and managing the scope of Business Systems project(s).
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Translating high level business needs into detailed business requirements that cover functionality, usability, reliability, performance and ongoing support needs.
- Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
- Provides business expertise regarding the appropriate use of data elements and works to establish and maintain common business rules, data definitions and usage of data to support an enterprise vision.
- Partners with business, architecture and infrastructure and oversees all service levels to ensure business area satisfaction.
- Employs in depth knowledge of tools utilized
- Creates system test plans that include the environment and data needs; test cases and execution steps; and a testing timeline with tasks and milestones that support completion of all planned tests within the project delivery dates.
- Ensure test plans detail appropriate business user acceptance scenarios that clearly document pre and post conditions, traceability to requirements and roles to be tested.
- Works with business users to develop user acceptance tests and acceptance criteria.
- Support defect identification and resolution working with the business and development teams.
- Mentors and assists in training initiatives and performs estimates for application functionality enhancements.
- Coordinates and provides consultation for integration activities to ensure successful implementation.
- Ensures effective monitoring of systems through clear business requirement definition.
- Define and implement a standard testing methodology through the use of standard processes and tools.
- Proactively works with stakeholders to identify future system opportunities and enhancements.
