Position Summary:
In this role, under general supervision, you will evaluate, and settle casualty claims of modest to complex exposure (including fatalities) by investigating losses, negotiating settlements and reporting obtained information in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining adequate production levels. - Make sales calls
- May assist junior adjusters
- Recommend litigation when appropriate
- Set loss reserves, and control claim costs
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
- Present evidence at legal proceedings; produce reports and other documents as evidence
*Perform duties in other areas as requested*
Requirements:
- Ability to travel
- A valid driver's license
- Minimum 6 months previous experience as a Claims Adjuster.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule outside of normal business hours, including on-call
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
