The Unit Manager I/II supporting the Modification area plans, organizes, leads, controls and coordinates the day-to-day activities of associates involved in providing services in the area of hazard outsourcing. This unit supports multiple clients and/or multiple functions that are responsible for lender placed insurance activity.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, coach and develop a team of research associates
- Utilize development and organization skills
- Manage unit with a focus & drive toward results
- Create and maintain unit budget
- Meet business unit objectives, setting team or individual goals and expectations and providing ongoing feedback
- Support the analysis and implementation of improved workflow for increased efficiency/effectiveness
- Provide timely coaching and feedback to employees regarding development
- Communicate vision and strategies that are focused on the key business goals

SKILLS REQUIRED Required skills/experience - Associates degree or equivalent work experience required
- Demonstrated decision-making, initiative, organizational, and problem solving skills are necessary
- Strong leadership and training/development skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to a changing fast-paced environment
- Good time management and ability to plan and meet established goals and deadlines
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills, as well as analytical thinking
- Understanding of human resource policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of MS Office 2000 Word and Excel is required
Desired skills/experience - Experience in mortgage servicing, customer service, or hazard insurance processing is helpful
- Preferred knowledge of MortgageServ, TrackAll, Fidelity, Agilsource or other mortgage service systems
- Two or more years of recent supervisory experience is preferred
- On-line reporting programs (e.g. xptr, xtnd, sar, acquire)
